本次短文填空涉及到名词,代词,形容词,介词,动词。与以往几年相似,发生变形的空基本控制在4-6空之间,本次有四空变形。
短文填空中三空是与固定词组搭配有关,音标拼读简单但是选的单词较长,中文提示学生在remain这个词上较易丢分,首字母提示中ancient也属于学生背诵中容易忽略的词,无提示的空上下文联系紧密,但是91空学生很难想到这个词组。综合而言,短文填空难度应该在4分(5分最高),除掉个别空较难其他分数对于优秀的学生来说应该没有问题。但是对于平时中等但是基础不够扎实的学生来说,扣分就会比较严重。

今年的书面表达和2008年福州中考作文有异曲同工之处。2008年要求写的是一篇值日报告介绍福州。2008年第一句话要求写出福州概况,位于福建东部,今年中考是介绍三坊七巷位于市中心,句型用的基本一致。
